Get ready for an exciting, high-energy hands-on experience at the National STEM Expo. Experience the excitement of aerospace science through action at the STEMtrek STOMP Rocket Precision Challenge during the National STEM Expo.
Participants will build a foam rocket and using an air-powered stomp launcher and aim to land it as close as possible to the bullseye target. While the rocket design is identical for all participants, success depends on understanding force, timing, wind and control rather than strength.
This hands-on challenge introduces key STEM concepts such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, force, energy, air pressure, and projectile motion in a fun, safe, and memorable way. Each participant gets to keep their rocket and mini launcher after the activity, making learning continue beyond the event.
The challenge is suitable for learners of all ages and is aligned with the school science and STEM curriculum.
